This is the difficult to find smallest size of Mortens Studio Dog measuring 2.25 in. tall. Mortens Studio dogs were made in the Chicago area in the 1940's. The base is a wire form covered with poured plaster. The glaze has a distinctive, soft glow which is very appealing to the many collectors.Stamped Mortens Studio on the bottom.
